1.
Distribution of HPV genotypes in women with cervical cancer in Slovenia and genomic variants of HPV 16, HPV 18 and HPV 33.

Ninety-four point two percent of cervical cancer cases in Slovenia were HPV positive in a representative sample of cervical cancer cases. HPV genotypes found were: HPV 16, 18, 33, 45, 31, 51, 58, 59, 35, 52, 73 and 82. Genomic variants of HPV 16 and HPV 18 belong to several independent phylogenetic branches, genomic variants of HPV 33 form dichotomic phylogenetic tree.

Distribution of human papillomavirus genotypes and intratypic variants in women with cervical cancer in Slovenia

On a representative sample of cervical cancer cases in Slovenia we have found the following distribution of HPV genotypes: HPV 16, 18, 33, 45, 31, 51, 58, 59, 35, 52, 73 and 82. Genomic variants of HPV 16 and HPV 18 belong to several independent phylogenetic branches, genomic variants of HPV 33 form dichotomic phylogenetic tree.
