On the basis of the knowledge, obtained during national research projects and the overwiev of the existing literature, the authors made the analyses of the potentials for the infection of CHO cell line, which is used in biopharmaceutical production, with prions.
D.08 Management and development of research activities
Phenolic compounds are synthesized in plants and found in fruits, vegetables, tea, coffee, wine etc. in different amount. They influence dietary and sensory characteristics of plant foods. It is generally accepted that they have positive effect on human health because of their antioxidative, antimicrobial, cardioprotective and anticancerogenic activity. The aim of this project is for better understanding of phenolic compounds activity.

Vladka Čurin Šerbec, Nataša Poklar Ulrih and Marko Dolinar are teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Univerity of Ljubljana and are mentors to students, transferring their knowledge to younger generations.
