An adaptive zero forcing maximum likelihood soft input soft output detector for wireless MIMO systems is presented in the paper. It is shown by computer simulations that the computational complexity of new algorithm is reduced by 90% while the system performance degrades only by less than 1dB in comparison to the ML detector.

Paper proposes a new network design and a simulation model for the WiMAX pico base station based on IEEE 802.16e standard. It evaluates also the base station performance in a mutihop-relay networks. The solution opens a possibility for the proposed base station to be an element of mesh networks.
