It is difficult nowadays to imagine a development of the new product without using virtual technics (virtual model and modelling) , however even the best equipment and virtual model cannot replace the real, functional product. Therefore we need beside the virtual model also a physical model, built up on basis of different prototyping technics. In the year of 2010 they launched ZBuilder Ultra machine. The results are stong and smooth parts. Process enables plastic models manufacturing faster and with much lower production costs, and therefore the process supplements conventional

For each type of additive technologies it is now possible to use more different materials which lead to the fact that machines for this type of technology are becoming more and more universal. In our research, we used a composite material, which are important for a customer, from the strength of a material to its hardness. It is also necessary to determine a right shrinkage of the material.

We then present results of foot measurements that were carried out on Slovenian footwear customers by the Slovenian footwear manufacturer Alpina. There upon, we present Alpina’s development of the first generation of new customer adjusted footwear (from the process of collecting information to the process of footwear production).
