The article analyses colours that appear due to the transmition of light through the anisotropic material between crossed polarisers. Starting from that point, the complementary colour which takes into account the spectrum of the light source is defined. The paper was downloaded more than 250 times within the month of open access. This happens to less than 10% of articles published in Eur. Jou. Phys. (attachement 3). The article has already one citation (attachement 4).
