The 5th symposium on plant biology with international participation organized in Ljubljana, from September 6 to September 9, 2010, hosted 110 participants from 11 countries. There was a special session on carbon cycling. The scientific excursion of the symposium that was organized also for the participants of the COST action FP 0803 Belowground carbon turnover in Eurpoean forests meeting took place at the facilities of our project at Podgorski kras.
