Founding of spin-out company Biosistemika d.o.o.

In 2010 we establised a spin-out company, Biosistemika d.o.o., whic services and products are aimed at providing complete solutions for users of complex laboratory analyses in the field of molecular biology. Company was awarded first prize for its business plan at Technology Park Ljubljana and was one of the 5 finalists of the STARTUP 2010 competition. Its innovation “Expert system for molecular diagnostics” was presented at Slovenian Innovations Forum and received a bronze award by the local Chamber of Commerce.

Miroslav Zei Award for the exceptional achievements in the research filed of the National institute of biology

In 2010 the National institute of biology has honored the first three recipients with the Miroslav Zei award. Among them was a member of the program Dr. Kristina Gruden for her exceptional research work in last 5 years.

Editorial board member of the National Geographic Slovenija

A member of the program team is also an editorial board member of the National Geographic Slovenija from its first issues in Slovene . She is responsible for the field of plants. Besides her professional work as a board member, she also prepares new articles from her field of expertise for the Slovenian edition.
