The influence of residential environment on mental functioning in the elderly

Elderliness may be nice for reasons of life experiences, knowledge and less stress. On the other hand it may evolve into a complex and bitter life period because of loneliness, compromised physical mobility and various somatic or psychic health problems. Different factors determine the residential environment of the elderly - Elderly home facilities or their home environment. Depression reduces their self-reliance in daily activities. Another reason for this is cognitive decline, with its prevalence in Elderly homes being significantly higher.
