Parthenogenetic embryo-like structures in the human ovarian surface epithelium cell culture in postmenopausal women

We found that the parthenogenetic embryo (blastocyst)-like structures are developed in the ovarian surface epithelium cell culture in postmenopausal women without naturally present follicles and oocytes. These structures confirm the presence of pluripotent stem cells in the cell culture.

Putative stem cells with an embryonic character isolated from the ovarian surface epithelium of women with no naturally present follicles and oocytes.

In a population of cells scraped from the ovarian surface epithelium of women without naturally present follicles and oocytes - postmenopausal women and women with premature ovarian failure we confirmed the presence of pluripotent embryonic-like stem cells by different methods.
