There is ongoing efford to find new and more user friendly techniques in children after UTI. Nowadays, two major approaches are recognised. The first approach recommends looking VUR in all children after UTI. The second approach recommends screening for scars, while cystographies are performed only in those cases where renal scarring has been confirmed. In this rewiev article it is shown that regardless which approach in the management of children after UTI one believes is more appropriate, it is obvious that both protocols can be sufficiently fulfielled by the use of US techniques.
