Fused late endocytic compartments and dendritic-tumor cell hybridomas

Hybridomas produced by the electrofusion of dendritic and tumor cells represent a cellular vaccine for treating cancer. Here we represent a new method for the hybridoma cell vaccine evaluation based on the intracellular physiological mechanism of antigen presentation.

Method for determining the ratio and quality of hybridomas as well as the use of hyridomas of suitable quality

The invention relates to a method employing confocal microscopy for determining the ratio and quality of hybridomas by means of the number of differently labeled lysosomes, usually labeled with green and red fluorescence, where lysosomes are part of antigen presenting pathway of parental cells.

Quantification of electrofusion product with confocal microscopy

In the conference techniques of labelling of intracellular organelles with fluorescent markers were presented. Specifically, we showed fluorescently labelled dextran molecules that enter the cell through endocytic pathway and after several hours of incubation they localize in late endocytic vesicles.
