1.
Influence of pharmaceutical residues on the structure of activated sludge bacterial communities in wastewater treatment bioreactors.

In published paper we developed T-RFLP analyses of 16SrRNA genes. In addition we have also prepared 16S rRNA gene libraries from DNA isolated from the untreated biofilm. Described molecular biological study was performed on selected pharmaceuticals, which were applied as model compounds. Research results were applied to selected endocrine disrupter compounds (E1, E2, EE2 in E3), which are subject of this project.

Comprehensive study of the parameters influencing the detection of organotin compounds by a pulsed flame photometric detector in sewage sludge

A comprehensive study of the parameters influencing the detection of organotin compounds (OTCs) by a pulsed flame photometric detector (PFPD) in sewage sludge was performed. Operating conditions of a PFPD system was optimised to eliminate spectral interferences.
