Active ageing on the company level: the theory vs. the day-to-day practice in Slovenia

The population ageing is one of the most important challenges facing the EU, including Slovenia. This demographic shift calls for action, especially because the recent research among Slovenian companies shows that the practice of age management is still in its early stages. Even though, the implications of population ageing are strongly seen at the company level, and some employers are already facing the shortages of labour force, the practice of age management is still rare and organisations mostly make little or no effort to retain their own older workers.
