When mortar is applied on an abosrptive material it is essential to retain mix its water otherwise the quality of placing and thus the properties in hardened state are affected. Fine fraction of recycled aggregate produced out of concrete waste has higher porosity than natural crushed aggregate and its water retantion capability is higher.
