A new prototype for automatic visual inspection of dimensions of tablets and pellets was developed. The prototype enables repeatable and reliable estimation of mean dimensions, which, according to the PAT directive, enables on-line monitoring of tablet and pellet coating processes.

A new approach for fast, precise and repeatable adjustment of the position of line-scan camera relative to the inspected object and a new approach for retrospective restoration of geometrical deformations and line-scan color channels matching was proposed.

A new software for monitoring and management of research and production processes was developed so as to improve the existing organizational and management solutions.
