Correlation between K/S values of PET dyeings and oligomer content

There are many research studying oligomer migration but nobody investigated correlation between structural changes of PET due to temperature treatment and oligomer content. In present research correlation between K/S values of PET dyeings and oligomer content is presented.

FT-IR ATR analysis of temperature treated PET fibers with polarized infrared radiation

In this paper the molecular orientation of PET filaments (weft) temperature treated at 180 °C and at 220 °C in free (no tension applied) and clamped (under tension) state determined by FT-IR analysis is presented. In the case of temperature treatment in clamped (under tension) state the orientation is significantly higher compared to orientation of not treated sample and samples treated in free state. It can also be seen that orientation of samples temperature treated at higher temperature is higher.

The procedure for temperature stabilization of polyester fabrics

Many studies involved solving problems caused by cyclic trimer during PET processing without significant success. We found out that stabilization parameters can affect PET structure and further on reduction of oligomer content.
