ŠTULAR Benjamin: Cultural heritage as an agency of economic development

The lecture begins with a short theorethical introduction of a cultural heritage as an agency of economic development followed by two examples. The firs is a demonstration of "intensive" case study, the Krvavec archaeological park model; the second is an "extensive" model of ANOB Kamniško-Savinjske Alpe.

BREZNIK, A. Between the giants Ajdi and mediaeval herdsmen; archaeological open-museum Krvavec: the proposal of cultural-touristic product on Krvavec.

Archaeological investigations on Krvavec reveal enough data to reconstruct the life in this high-mountain region in the Middleages. This opportunity was used to develope the proposal of an open-air museum on Krvavec, which at the same time is also an important touristic resort. Till now the main touristic season was the winter, from now on, also the possibilities for the summer-season are opened.
