Recognition of emotional expressions in euthymic persons with bipolar mood disorder

In the paper were presented the preliminary results of study which aimed to examine the social cognition skills of persons with bipolar mood disorder during euthymia (without current depression or mania episode). Computer administrated Recognition of facial emotion test (Ekman) and Facial recognition test (Benton) were developed and applied in this regard. The results indicated that euthymic bipolar patients demonstrated relatively preserved functioning in aspect of social cognition, with comparable recognition of faces and emotional expressions, as identified in the group of healthy persons.

Observation of treatment of depression in primary care setting in first week : what happens in first week of treatment with antidepressants?

The article was based on the research of the treatment with antidepressants in first week inb primary setting. We found out that patietns with more severe depression had more questions and were more insecure.
