Čižman M, Slovenian Surveillance Group. Hospital antibiotic management in Slovenia-results of the ABS maturity survey of the ABS International group

A questionnaire on (ABS) Antibiotic Stewardship – maturity of hospitals was the basis of an analysis as a part of an EU project. We assessed the ABS maturity in 12 hospitals in Slovenia including 11 generals hospitals and one university hospital during the period 2004-2007. Antibiotic consumption had the highest maturity ratio. Antibiotic consumption maturity was the highest in Slovenia comparing with 8 participant countries. The data provide a basis for further development of antibiotic-related issues in hospitals.
