This work presents a new neuro-fuzzy system based model, which is useful for the modelling of nonlinear dynamic systems. The new proposed model constitutes a soft computing method, namely, reasoning with a fuzzy inference system (FIS) and an optimisation by the neural-network learning algorithm. A structure, named the decomposed Neuro-Fuzzy ARX Model is proposed.

The paper presents development of welding processes and power sources for electric arc welding. A short historical review of development is followed by a description of advanced inverter and digital welding power sources. Particular attention is paid to some major functions and properties of digital welding sources, which permit various ways of welding-process control, high flexibility, and ensure high quality welding.
