Computation of the parameters of the Weibull distribution for estimating the bending strength of corrugated roofing sheets

In this article a systematic comparison of statistical of experimental data and Monte Carlo simulations for Weibull distribution of fracture forces for corrugated roofing sheets from the ESAL company. The investigation is important for the forecast of reliability of products from industrial production. The data over the longer period was used.

Reliability of the Weibull analysis of the strength of construction materials

The comparison of parameters and reliability of forecasting of Weibull statistical model with Monte Carlo simulation and experimental data for the mechanical properties of corrugated roofing sheets from ESAL company was made. One of the important results of the study is clear distinction between experimental uncertainty and their real standard deviation.

The influence of aminosilanes on macroscopic properties of cement paste

In this work the the influence of two silanes on macroscopic properties of fresh and hardened cement pastes and mortars prepared from ordinary Portland cement are presented. The highly polar amine and alkoxide groups of aminosilane molecules exhibit strong chemical interactions with cement matrix. Their influence is demonstrated in higher workability of fresh cement mortar, longer setting and higher strength after prolonged curing. These effects on cement system can be exploited in the formulation of composite cementitious products like cement based corrugated plates.

Monte Carlo simulation of Weibull distribution of ceramic strength values

In the contribution the theoretical consideration of applicability of Weibull distribution for the evaluation of ceramic and composites strength values. The results are useful since the determine the range in which the use of Weibull statistics is reasonable and correct.
