1.
Forensic speaker identification

Forensic speech science (FSS) is a form of applied speech science whose importance for society is increasing almost by the day. Results of FSS based investigations may be of pivotal importance at any stage of the course of justice, be it the very first police investigation or a court trial.

Automatic text parsing aided by clause splitting and intraclausal coordination detection

A new algorithm for parsing with clause and intraclausal coordination detection - PACID is proposed, which includes machine learning and the use of heuristic rules to incorporate language specifics. The algorithm is used as an upgrade of the existing parsing algorithms.

VoIP/VoWLAN system performance evaluation with low cost experimental test-bed

An experimental test-bed for objective ITU P.862 standard based VQT was constructed within a relatively small budget and absence of commercially available WLAN 802.11a--enabled mobile phones. Nevertheless, in the absence of comparable measurements of WLAN 802.11a-enabled equipment in academia, reasonably controlled RF environment, automating of testing scenarios and improved synchronization of captured voice samples with several thousand statistically analyzed measurement, results assured adequate qualification of experimental VQ test-bed.

Procedure and device for intelligent entry control

The patent is related to the intelligent entry control, based on a flexible architecture enabling integration of an arbitrary number of sensors and an arbitrary number of software methods at an arbitrary number of levels of software systems. In recent years, several sensors for entry control are based on biometry, i.e. fingerprints or facial recognition, speaker recognition. But before our research, there was no publication or patent presenting a universal method to combine the sensors and methods in a systematic way.
