Using Map/Reduce paradigm in Java applications

Presented is the open source Hadoop project, java framework supporting data-intensive applications that can run on large clusters of ordinary computers. In the introduction development in recent years is described in the field of massively distributed applications, and presented some of well-known implementations (Amazon EC2, Google, Yahoo). Introduced is the programming paradigm Map/Reduce, which was very successfully implemented in Google web service. Included is an example of a simple Java application.
