1.
The use of inducible promoters in radiotherapy

The review paper describes the combined treatment of gene therapy and radiotherapy. The emphasisi is put into the description of inducible poromoters that are activated either by different stressors or radiation.

Silencing of target gene by electrotransfer of shRNA molecules

The results of our study showed that electroporation is feasible and effective method for delivering of plasmid DNA expressing shRNA into tumor cells in vitro, which was shown through efficient silencing of targeted reporter gene for GFP. Imaging and measurements of GFP expression levels over time in vitro showed that electroporation in combination with plasmid DNA as gene delivery vector can induce prolonged gene silencing effect in rapidly dividing LPBGFP cells.
