1.
Anisotropic magnetic, electrical, and thermal transport properties of the Y-Al-Ni-Co decagonal approximant

Y-Al-Ni-Co decagonal approximant is a system for which the total optimization of the crystal structure was possible in terms of the lattice parameters and the coordinates of particular atoms. A considerable qualitative influence on the complex electronic structure and related calculated properties was demonstrated.

Origin of anisotropic nonmetallic transport in the Al[sub](80)Cr(15)Fe[sub]5 decagonal approximant.

Al[sub](80)Cr(15)Fe[sub]5 decagonal approximant is distinguished by a very complicated crystal structure, which refers to a complex Fermi surface. It was shown that the measured anisotropic properties to a large extent were due to the electronic structure.
