Review article on proteomics and its impact on medicine

The review article is aimed to inform practitioners from oncology and other medical fields with the new trends in post-genomic molecular medicine. We are showing the possibilities of using the method of two-dimensional gel electrophoresis used in combination with mass spectrometry and bioinformatics in biomedicine, with particular focus on our research of oncogenesis at gastric mucosa.

International assistance at introducing molecular biology approaches in oncology

The paper describes molecular genetic analysis of familial adenomatous polyposis in families from Bosnia and Herzegovine (analysis of MSI, appearance of RER+ phenotype, genetic alteration of tumor suppressor genes) which was performed under bilateral SLO-BiH project supporting introduction of modern molecular biology approaches in medicine of the new state, one of the former Yugoslav republics.
