Comparison of structure and mode of action of proteins that form pores in cell membranes

We published a comparison of structure and mode of action of proteins that form pores in cellular membranes. Listeriolysin is a cholesterol dependent cytolysin, which share similar structure with MACPFdomains from complement and perforin. Understanding of LLO and CDC mechanism of pore formation will contribute to understanding of pore formation by important proteins from the immune system.
