Theorizing women's mobility in the Balkans

Women's mobility in the historical-anthropological perspective from Antiquity to the war in Yugoslavia. First hypothesis on continuities of social-cultural construct of gender as projected on the „screen“ of the Balkan patriarchy; mobility of women interpreted in the context of European non-feminist (Habermas) and feminist (Braidotti) philosophy of citizen's emancipation.

Protection of minors against potential harmful media contents: the case of institution of NICAM

The growth of new communication technologies has faced us with a quite new situation concerning protection against potential harmful media contents. In the article we present a model of successful co-regulation in the case of a Dutch institution NICAM as an example of good practice in the field of protection of minors. The institution is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the classification system Kijkwijzer, which warns parents of possible harmful images. Nevertheless, final responsibility for what their children can see rests with the parents.
