Studia mythologica Slavica.

The journal publishes articles from the fields of religion studies, ethnology, archaeology and linguistics, which shed light on Slavic mythology. It contributes to the progress of research and better knowledge of the mythopoetic and religious traditions of the Slavic peoples, as well as to deepening the comparative aspects of the mythology and religious notions of other nations.

Folklore and Religion between Tradition and Transformation. In Honorem Niko Kuret (1906-1995).

The ISE (J. Fikfak and I. Slavec Gradišnik) was the principal organiser of the international conference commemorating the centenary of the birth of Slovenian academy member N. Kuret - the scholar who laid the foundations of the ISE and wrote cardinal studies on ethnology and folklore studies.

Gašper Križnik and his Time. International interdisciplinary scientific meeting (Kamnik, 24.-25.11., Motnik, 26.11.2004).

M. Stanonik organised the scientific conference "Gašper Križnik and his time" in cooperation with the Municipality of Kamnik and the Cultural Society of Motnik with the purposes to reveal, to evaluate and to publish his collected works.

Professor Gregor Krek (1840–1905), the Founder of Slavic Studies in Graz. International Conference, Gradec/Graz, Četena ravan, 21. - 22. 10. 2005.

J. Fikfak organised a conference on Gregor Krek in cooperation with P. Grzybek, L. Karničar (University of Graz) and J. Dolenc. The conference took place in Graz, where Krek worked, and in Četena Ravan, the birthplace of this important philologist.

Water and Culture.

Members of the programme group contributed the major part of the ethnological chapters under the heading “Water and Culture”. This is the first comprehensive ethnological presentation on water in a geographically defined area in Slovenia.
