Its goal was to facilitate research on phonetic issues, especially in relation to Slovenian, and to bring together phoneticians and experts from related disciplines. In terms of Slovenian phonetics, the conference was an important step toward solving open issues in this area. The papers presented at the conference addressed various topics: Slovenian phonetics, phonetic and phonological contrastive analyses, the latest directions and approaches, phonetics and language technologies.
