Organization of the SloFon conference (http://slofon.zrc-sazu.si/).

Slofon was the first international phonetics conference held in Slovenia. Its goal was to facilitate research on phonetic issues, especially in relation to Slovenian, and to bring together phoneticians and experts from related disciplines. In terms of Slovenian phonetics, the conference was an important step toward solving open issues in this area. The papers presented at the conference addressed various topics: Slovenian phonetics, phonetic and phonological contrastive analyses, the latest directions and approaches, phonetics and language technologies.

Editorship of an international monographs Linguistica & philologica and Lingua Slovenica

V.Cvetko Orešnik is the editor of the series Linguistica et philologica, dedicated to issuing scholarly publications in linguistics and philology. This series focuses on Slovenian and genetically related languages from a historical or descriptive, material or explanatory, and comparative or contrastive perspective. H. Dobrovoljc is the editor of the series Lingua Slovenica, which publishes reference and practical works that analyze open issues in contemporary Slovenian from applicational and theoretical overview.

The journal Slovenski jezik/Slovene Linguistic Studies, which has been published biannually since 1997, is a scholarly linguistics journal focusing primarily on Slovene studies. The journal’s trademark is its multilingualism and international character. It seeks to contribute to the creation of quality linguistic studies in Slovene studies, enriched by the ideas and findings of researchers of various specializations, education, and cultural views. The journal is edited by the PG member Marko Snoj and Marc L. Greenberg of the University of Kansas.
