GOLOBIČ, Mojca, BIZJAK, Igor. An interactive internet model for support of decision making concerning nuclear waste repository sites

The authors present an internet model as a support in the search for an appropriate location for a repository for low and intermediate level waste (LILW) in Slovenia. The problem of finding the location for the repository is urgent, because the interim storage facility at the Krško nuclear power station will be full by 2013. The process of finding an adequate location is designed as an open process, which provides for the consideration of scientific discoveries and verified methods and also allows for a forum for public opinion.
