European phenological response to climate change matches the warming pattern

In the investigation over 125,000 series of pheneological data from 21 european countries were analysed. The results showed that more than 80 % of phenologica phases have negative trend, e.g.phenological phase in spring appear aproximatly 3 days earlier where warming for one degree of C induces 3 days aerlier appearance of phenophase. There is strong correlation between months air temperatures and time of appearance of phenophases, the results support possibilities of further investigations on the area of climate change and plants development.
