Determination of the quality of immunohybridomas

A new strategy to treat cancer is based on making hibrid cells between immune and cancer cells to improve the cancer cells antigen presentation. However the quality of hybrid cells is not easily determinable. Here we monitored the fusion of lysosomes, which carry the function of antigen presentation in newly formed hybrid cells. The new method employs live imaging of fluorescently marked late endocytic organelles.
