ŠAJN, Viktor, NOŽAK, Dejan, KOSEL, Tadej, KOSEL, Franc. Gradient method for mesh refinement in compressible fluid flow simulations

In the article the algorithm for mesh refinement is presented. The algorithm is successfully applied on a plane mesh of finite elements in which plane compressible turbulent flow was modelled. The algorithm makes possible accurate simulation of differential equations by the finite-element method provided a computer with suitable computational performance is used.

M.Batista, F.Kosel. Thermoelastic Stability of Double-Layered Spherical Shells

In the article the axi-symmetrical thermoelastic stability of free double-layered spherical shells at uniform temperature is considered. The basic equations are derived from Reissner’s theory of thin shells and assumptions that materials of the layers are linearly thermoelastic. The conditions for the buckling of shells are determined. The temperature-deflection diagrams are calculated by using the collocation method.

KOSEL, Franc, VIDENIČ, Tomaž. Generalized plasticity and unaxial constrained recovery in shape memory alloys

In this article one of the most interesting and useful functional properties of shape memory alloys (SMA), the process of constrained recovery, was treated. Since the process of constrained recovery is one of the most important properties of SMA, the proposed model represents a significant contribution to the determination of stress - strain state during this process. The Theory of Generalized Plasticity, which belongs in the second group of models, and two different flow rules were used: linear and exponential

In this paper the use of CWT - Continuous Wavelet Transform is applied to identify damping in real structures. The application is extended to short, transient signals.

BOLTEŽAR, Miha: Mechanical Vibrations, 1st. Part

The book for the first time in Slovene language gives the basic theory of vibrating systems, mostly for mechanical engineers. The contents enable the reader to understand basic principles, needed to solve problems in vibroacoustics and structural dynamics.
