Integrated circuit design in CMOS and BiCMOS technology

The book ''Integrated circuit design in CMOS and BiCMOS technology'' is the first and only book written in Slovene that describes the high technological design of integrated circuits. The electronics of integrated circuits. The electronics of integrated circuits and integrated systems represents almost entire modern electronic and this knowledge is therefore available to Slovenian public in a way that foreign literature cannot offer. The book is also important for educational literature at University of Ljubljana and at the University of Maribor.

Limit cycles in high order sigma-delta modulators

Limit cycles generated in sigma delta modulators are analysed. Simulation results of two high order modulators are presented together with techniques to reduce limit cycles. The procedure is limited to general single loop sigma delta modulators. To reduce the probability of the appearance of limit cycles a method called dithering is used to reach ultimate performance. Simulation results prove the method's efficiency.

A compensated bandgap voltage reference with sub-1-V supply voltage

It presents a new principle of generating the reference voltage at very low supply voltage. This is a great challenge for emerging nanoelectronic technologies, where the supply voltage is below 1V. The article was the most frequently read article of the last quarter of the year 2005 (appendix 10)

CITATION Apparatus for magnetically decoupling an RFID tag, US patent 6,208,235

It is a solution of reducing the cross-talk among multiple smart-cards. For instance, a shopping cart with tagged products that are charged to the customer without emptying the shopping cart or basket. The connection to microsystem is in the fact that there is a growing number of microsystems requiring wireless systems.

Design guidelines for a robust electromagnetic compatibility operation of application specific microelectronic systems

Proper operation of microelectronic systems is often influenced by electromagnetic interference. While the geometry and power supply voltage of the microelectronic structures are decreasing, the demand for emission robustintegrated circuits is increasing. Designing the integrated circuit for electromagnetic compatibility is therefore necessary to achieve the desired functional performance as well as to meet legal requirements.
