In April 2006, members of the LECAD coorganized the symposium TMCE2006 Prof. Duhovnik was a co-president of the org. and prog. committee and co-editor of the proceedings, while Dr. Žavbi was a symposium secretary. As part of scientific presentations, 4 articles and 4 posters presented the scientific activities of the Laboratory, which is also co-financed within the Programme. The Symposium showed organizational competences of the LECAD members and it provided an opportunity to present the work of the LECAD, the Faculty of Mech. Eng. and also of the University of Ljubljana.

On their basis, we developed an opportunity search method, which has been tested in the NIKO d.d. company, together with a mixed team (students and NIKO d.d. employees). The method clearly showed the importance of taking account of the legislation as part of the search for opportunities. A very important part of the method is considering characteristics of an enterprise, searching for opportunities.
