D. Zazula, A. Holobar: "An application of the surface electromyogram decomposition into the contributions of individual motor units"

Within the 5th European Framework Programme project entitled Neuromuscular assessment in the Elderly Worker (NEW), an innovative method was derived for the decomposition of surface electromyograms (SEMG). This means new possibilities in non-invasive observation of the muscle properties, prevention of muscle diseases and a proper treatment of possible illnesses. Convolution Kernel Compensation (CKC) was developed as a novel technique on blind separation of convolutive mixtures. The procedure was patented in Slovenia.
