Editorial board of the international mathematical journal Ars Mathematica Contemporanea

Dragan Marušič is one of the two Founding Editors and Editors-in-Chief of the international mathematical journal Ars Mathematica Contemporanea (the other editor is Prof. Tomaž Pisanski). With this journal the Slovene mathematics has opened up a new chapter in its development and has definitely put itself on the world map.

First Korea - Slovenia International Conference On Combinatorial and Computational Mathematics

This international conference (June 21 - 24, 2007, see http://conferences.imfm.si/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=9.) was organized in a collaboration with Combinatorial and Computational Mathematics Center research group (Com$^2$MaC) from POSTECH university in South Korea. Beside Slovene mathematicians and invited guests from abroad 20 researchers from South Korea participated at this conference. This research meeting, the first of a kind involving Slovene mathematicians with mathematicians of another country on such a great scale, has definitely helped put Slovene mathematics on the world map.

Five invited speakers at the workshop "Symmetries of Graphs and Networks"

Five members of the research team were among only twenty specially invited speakers at the workshop on symmetries in graphs, held in Banff in November 2008, see http://www.cs.uleth.ca/~morris/banff-symmetries/, sharing the podium with many renowned researchers such as C.E. Praeger, a highly cited scientist, see http://www.isihighlycited.com.

Fundation of the Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies (UP FAMNIT), University of Primorska

The coordinator of this project was Dragan Marušič, with substantial collaboration of other program group members. With the establishing of UP FAMNIT, the University of Primorska has balanced out its tilting towards Humanities and Social Sciences. As of the academic year 2007/08 the students have been able to enroll in the first, second and third degree programs (BSc, MSc and PhD) in both Mathematics and Computor Sciences and Informatics. In 2008 the group members collaborate at the accreditation of BSc study programs Mathematics in Economics and Finance and Bioinformatics at this faculty.

D.02 Establishment of a research centre, laboratory, study course, association

5.
Special Issue of Discrete Mathematics on Hamiltonicity problem for vertex-transitive (Cayley) graphs

Dragan Marušič was the editor of a special issue of SCI journal Discrete Mathematics dedicated to the hamiltonicity problem for vertex-transitive (Cayley) graphs. This is a prestigious scientific journal, second oldest in discrete mathematics and combinatorics.
