1.
Concept and electrochemical mechanism of an Al metal anode - organic cathode battery

In the article we demonstrated concept of Al-organic battery with anthraquinone as model cathode. ClAl2+ cation was identified as a species that coordinates anthraquinone group in discharged state. Application of anthraquinone based polymer enabled us long-term cycling of Al-organic battery.

Quinone based materials as renewable high energy density cathode materials for rechargeable magnesium batteries

Different quinone based materials were tested as cathodes in Mg batteries in two different electrolytes and calcualted their theoretical energy densities in Al and Li batteries.

Redox mechanisms in Li and Mg batteries containing poly(phenanthrene quinone)/graphene cathodes using operando ATR-IR spectroscopy

Poly(phenanthrene quinone)/graphene cathode was electrochemically tested in Li and Mg battery, where it showed exemplary long-term performance. Operando ATR-IR enabled identification of electrochemical mechanism and confirmed two step one-electron reaction in both systems.
