The paper presents the results of the study "Development of the agricultural land market and access of small agricultural holdings to agricultural land in the pre-accession countries", the main purpose of which is to understand the functioning of the agricultural land market in the Western Balkans. The study included the countries of the Western Balkans (Albania (AL), the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH-FBiH), Republika Srpska (BiH-RS), Northern Macedonia (MAC), Kosovo * (KO *), and Montenegro (MN)). and Serbia (SR)), which are in the process of joining the European Union (EU). The main objective was to collect information and data on the functioning of agricultural land markets and to identify the factors influencing the functioning of these markets. Special attention was paid to the access of small farms to land.
