This 3-hour lecture focuses on remote sensing of water resources in agriculture, e.g. detection of drought stress. Different remote sensing systems are presented (multi- and hyperspectral, lidar, radar), and different platforms (satellite, airborne, ground-based sensing). Furthermore, image pre-processing (georeferencing, ortorectification, atmospheric corrections, spectral indices, derivatives ...) and data analysis (machine learning, time-series, multivariate analysis ...) are also discussed.
