The present contribution at the PPTR 2018 conference includes the study of the effects of summer heat waves on productivity. The results present the fundamental findings about the heat stress of workers in the productive sector during and after heat waves and possible personal cooling strategies.

Training a neural network model to predict heat stress in the manufacturing industry on the basis of weather forecast.

The present contribution at the PPTR 2018 conference includes the forecast of heat stress in the manufacturing industry on the basis of preliminary measurements in a specific thermal environment. On the basis of heat stress, we can define periods when it is necessary to implement personal cooling strategies to improve the wellbeing of employees and, ultimately, improve productivity.
