1.
Screening for new surface anchoring domains for Lactococcus lactis

In order to optimize the surface display of recombinant proteins on L. lactis, we compared surface anchors from lactococci and phage endolysins. We were the first to describe a new type of surface anchor ChW from endolysin of lactococcal phage AM12, which exceeds the most established cAcmA anchor in terms of surface presentation efficiency.

Engineering of lactic acid bacteria for delivery of therapeutic proteins and peptides

We have prepared an overview of existing ways of using lactic acid bacteria to deliver therapeutic proteins, with special emphasis on applications aimed at treating cancer.
