The article systematically presents a study of adverse experiences, first carried out in America in the years 1995-97, on a sample of more than 17,000 people, which is the basis for our quantitative research, as well as the approaches of evidence-based, comprehensive support derived from it, especially in the context of health and education.

What are the adverse childhood experiences, their consequences and how to effectively address them?

In this contribution the concept of adverse childhood experiences was presented, their prevalence according to the existing studies, the correlation of adverse experiences with various health, psychological and social outcomes; and also the existing guidelines and best practices addressing those experiences in the field of medicine and education.

The consequences of adverse childhood experiences and effective interventions

In this contribution we briefly presented the correlation of adverse childhood experiences with various health, psychological and social outcomes; the central part of the contribution is the presentation of contemporary guidelines for psychological work with developmental trauma.
