Electric and magnetic fields: high-voltage power lines

The non-technical and richly illustrated brochure describes the structure and function of the electric power distribution system (high-voltage power lines, underground power cables, and substations), outlines the scientifically based exposure limits for low-frequency electric and magnetic field (EM and MF), the distribution of EF and MF near power lines, cables and substations, and then summarizes the scientific knowledge on biological effects of EF and MF, with positions of the key international organizations regarding the health risks of EF and MF.
