Genes for biosynthesis of tetracycline compounds and uses thereof

In the scope of this patent, we have identified new gene cluster encoding biosynthesis a tetracycline antibiotic and apply this genes and knowledge to generate no tetracycline derivatives or TC derivatives, which will be developed in the scope of this ARRS project.

Application of biosynthetic engineering approaches in the development of FKBP12-binding secondary metabolites and industrial process development

The project leader of this ARRS project gave invited talk at the conference of Slovene microbiological society on the new approaches of biosinthetic engineering, and how these approches are applied in the development of new products or industrial bioprocesses. Very much the same approach is applyed in the scope of this ARRS project

New antibiotics, Ljubljana Television Slovenia

Project leader gave interview on the TV program of national TV Slovenija. The program was discusing about new antibiotics and how they are developed. Avtor also described efforts of his research group, the approaches which are also used in the scope of this ARRS funded project.
