1.
Model membrane systems for studying mechanisms of action of pore forming proteins

We presented our work on developing model membrane systems on invited seminar at Technical University of Kaiserslautern.

2.
Mechanisms of membrane damage by pore forming toxins

On the invited seminar at University of Krakow we presented our current research on actinoporins, pore forming proteins that we were studying within the project.

3.
Molecular evolution of actinoporin-like proteins

We presented molecular evolution of pore forming proteins with an emphasis on actinoporins that were studied in this project.

Advances in structural biology: mini symposium

We have established cryo-electron microscopy at the National Institute of Chemistry and successfully employed it in the case of structural characterisation of nanopores. We have developed this approach during consequent years and now routinely use it in structural characterisation of nanopores. For inauguration of the microscope we organised a mini-symposium in which some of the most advanced approaches in cryo-electron microscopy were presented.
