A study on chemical detection of biogenic amines based on the nanostructured SiO2-based system is described. Various analytes based on amines were tested for which the sensitivity, the detection limit and the stability were determined. The results are directly related to the HCHO sensoric analysis, where similar tests are currently being carried out from the point of view of electrochemical sensitivity of the Ni receptor element.
