Velocity-based three-dimensional beam using the energy preserving approach

In this paper, we present a novel energy conserving algorithm for the dynamic analysis of spatial frame-like structures. The finite element approach proposed here is based on interpolation of velocities and angular velocities. Additional measures are also taken to preserve the compatibility of velocities and strains after discretization.

Structural measurements of dynamic response of hydraulic structures

For the analysis of the dynamic response of structures, modern equipment such as laser vibrometer is highly applicable. In the conference paper its use for measuring the response of Hydraulic Power Plant Brežice is presented. Thus, a goal of the project to include modern measuring techniques into the validation of numerical models was party fulfilled.
