Organic cathode materials for Li and Mg batteries

During this invited lecture we presented overview of our results on Li- and Mg- organic batteries. We explained two approaches to limit capacity fading: grafting (SiO2, carbon black, graphene nanoribbons) and polymerization. We presented several examples of new redox polymers and their electrochemical performance in Li- and Mg- batteries and about determination of redox mechanism using new operando IR method.

4.
Probing electrochemical reactions in metal-organic batteries with ATR-IR operando spectroscopy

Recent results about new method to monitor chemical reactions during battery operation were presented during this invited lecture. Using this method we were able to determine redox mechanism of poly(anthraquinonyl sulfide) cathode in Li and Mg battery. Additionally this method could be also used to monitor side reactions in batteries and improve their lifetime. These results were also published in Nature Communications.
